Week 17 in Review

1. Punctuation/Capitalization rule(s): Rule 17 from your EEL pg. 457

      Use parentheses (a) to enclose information not pertinent to thought, (b) to enclose numbered/lettered items in a sentence, (c) to enclose a reference in a sentence.
           
2. Homophones: EEL pg. 485
  • Student A: capital-capitol, owe-oh, knows-nose
  • Student B: wrote-rote, coarse-course, forth-fourth
  • Student C: affect-effect
3. Grammar Charts:

 Review charts L, M, N.













4. Weekly Practice sentences: EEL pg. 433 (in Sentences section of the Student Notebook)
 All 5 sentences for Week 17
 
5.  Spelling (optional): EEL pg. 467
  
6. Editing (optional): In the Editing section of the Student Notebook, your student will have their 17th week exercises

7. Analytical Task Sheet:
Beginning students: Complete tasks 1-4 (on sentences 1-4) and experiment a little with task 5- Modification.   
Advanced students tasks 1-5 on all sentences this week.

Student A- Emperors 1 paragraph (pg. 213)
Student B- Emperors 3 paragraphs or interview paragraph
