• Student C: desert-dessert (not true homophones but often misspelled)

Here are some things I have found (we have not learned about openers/sentence starters yet): 1.  Title, Name and Date should be included (Name and date can be at the top on the left hand side or the heading can be done like the link above) 2. Paper should be double-spaced 3. For paragraphs: EITHER indent 5 spaces/Tab to indicate a new paragraph without skipping spaces in between paragraphs OR skip a space in between the paragraphs but don't indent (CHOOSE 1) 4.  Dress-ups are listed on in the right margin   *-ly   *w/w : who-which clause   *sv or v: strong verb   *QA or adj : quality adjective   *allit : alliteration   *sim : simile   *met : metaphor   *cl : adverb clause (www.asia.because)   *dia : dialogue   *3sss : words that appeal to 3 different senses 5.  Sentence Starters/Openers are listed in the left margin   *#2 : prepositional phrase   *#3 : -ly   *#4 : "ing"   *#5 : adverb clause (www.asia.because)   *#6 : VSS (2-5 words) 6.  Each paragraph: Topic Sentence and Clincher reflection words should be highlighted.
